Brean Beach Public Toilet Cleaning Open 2020

We at Burnham Portable Toilet Hire were contacted by Sedgemoor District Council in May 2020.

Their enquiry was initially for hire of our Portable Toilets, however upon meeting them I suggested that the best way forward was to open the existing public toilets at Brean Beach and that we would clean them as they were initially having issues with finding anyone to clean them.

We had also read in the local newspaper that the local residents had had awful experiences with members of the public using their gardens as make shift toilets.

So, on Friday morning last week, myself and our team went to Brean to open the toilets and deep clean them. They had been shut from the previous season.

COVID PPE Precautions – Sameday Service

Brean Public Toilets Somerset Cleaning Services On Site 2020-1As a small family business with the highest levels of cleanliness and customer care we pulled on our PPE and set to work. The toilets were then opened for the general public by 9:00am. Going forwards we now clean the toilets daily and at weekends twice a day.

Company directors Steve and Jackie Richards have always been keen to help our local community.

Brean Beach Daily Public Toilet Cleaning

As part of our daily clean and especially dealing with COVID secure policy all toilets are washed with disinfectant and finally sprayed with anti bac spray.

We have supplied new soap dispensers and keep the toilets topped up with toilet tissue. All surfaces are cleaned daily.

Upon servicing them myself this weekend, the public were truly grateful to see us and thanked us. Sedgmoor have been busy making sure the correct signs are visible and reminding all to keep 2 metres apart. It’s a pleasure to get these toilets up and running.
